Eastman is asking a judge in California to reactivate his license following a disciplinary decision last month that rendered him unable to practice law for now. That decision prompted his law license to be made inactive over the weekend, meaning he can’t have legal clients while he appeals the decision. Until his law license was made inactive, Eastman represented about a half-dozen clients on constitutional issues, including relating to elections. Those prominent clients are now going to bat for him in his request to continue his legal work. Greene’s campaign committee and the joint fundraising committee “Put America First” have paid Eastman’s law partnership about $25,000 for legal services since 2021, according to campaign finance records.

On a court where conservatives hold a 6-3 supermajority, including three Trump nominees, citing Scalia is no coincidence. The advocates are hoping to convince the justices that they can write off Trump’s arguments in a way that still squares with conservative legal principles. The Scalia concurrence, joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and two other conservatives, involved a dispute between the teamsters and a soda distributor. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and former President Donald Trump. “Many times, members of the court greatly respect each other but will disagree with what they’ve had to say,” Muller said.

After Boebert won her last race by just 546 votes, she began revamping her campaign strategy. So-called ballot harvesting, which she's decried as an underhanded Democratic tactic, will be part of her campaign strategy. While campaigning in the district this election, Boebert seems “more empathetic" than her disruptive national profile. At events and debates in the last election, Boebert railed against then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who became a foil for bloated government, a broken system and Democratic demagoguery. After Colorado's largely city dwellers voted to reintroduce wolves to Colorado, Boebert has also proposed legislation to give ranchers greater recourse to defend their flocks.

Rep. Lauren Boebert is shifting her campaign strategy as she faces another tough challenge in 2024. The change of heart comes after her close 2022 race and a Beetlejuice scandal that made national news. "Democrats certainly smell blood in the water," Boebert told the AP before a Lincoln Day Dinner in southwest Colorado. Frisch, her 2022 challenger, told MSNBC's Symone Sanders-Townsend that the Denver incident was "another notch in the belt of embarrassment." Next year, Boebert will also face several Republican primary challenges as she seeks a third term in office.

After a close 2022 result, Democrats are hoping to knock off GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert next year. Last year, Boebert won her Republican-leaning Colorado district over Adam Frisch by only 546 votes. And as the incumbent in the state's conservative-leaning 3rd Congressional District, it appeared to many as though Boebert would be relatively safe in her reelection bid in last year's midterms. "I think it started the people in the third congressional district thinking that she wasn't paying enough attention to the district as she was paying more attention to national politics." "Extreme House Democrats lost the majority because they hammered families with crime, chaos and skyrocketing costs," National Republican Congressional Committee communications director Jack Pandol said in a statement.
